Updates

So you all understand the picture in the previous post...Evan's legs were bruised since he was in a completely breech position...he had to be pulled out by his feet. That picture was taken at SV Hospital right after he was born.

As of Sunday 7/16 8:30am: NICU nurse told us he had to be sedated last night since he was fussy. She said he was a "noodle" today, which I think is a good thing, that he is resting comfortably.

As of Saturday 7/15: NICU nurse told us they reduced his ventilator a notch. He had to have a little blood transfused since his body at this preterm age, doesn't reproduce blood yet.

Poor little guy, those bruises look painful. He does look like a pretty good size for 30 weeks. I have a feeling he will be coming home earlier than expected.=)

Congratulations Mom and Dad! How wonderful - he is beautiful:)
Anna (our oldest) was a premature, and you know what she looks like (if not go to Chhili's and ask for Anna David)!!
Relax, take care and I will write more later when things settle down - about 18 years from now!!!!!!

Congratulations! As preemies go, Evan looks very big. He is getting the best of care and has two loving parents. He will do just fine. Sorry for the emotional roller coaster you are on now. Even under the best of circumstances, having a baby and adjusting to parenthood is very hormonal, to say the least.
My love and best wishes,
Vicki
